Huw has more than 25 years’ IT strategy and operations experience working for multi-national industrial organizations. Within Cisco he has responsibility for mapping and customizing the company’s technology and services portfolio to the issues and opportunities facing oil and gas companies today. He also supports strategic customer relationships and engages thought leaders in the industry for future initiatives.
He is responsible for Cisco’s Oil and Gas industry solution sets in the EMEAR region. These have been developed by working closely with National Oil Companies, together with other oil and gas-related companies and Cisco’s technology partners.
Huw has international experience spanning the globe. Most recently he has been spending a considerable amount of time in the Middle East and Europe.

Prior to taking on his current assignment in the Middle East, Phil led and managed a Global Consulting Service Line consisting of several practices - Enterprise Asset Management, Business Intelligence & Management Information, Enterprise Content Management and Real-time Data Management - staffed with ~350 Consultants and delivering business solutions across many industry sectors.
Phil has over 20 years experience of the Energy Sector covering a diverse range of disciplines including Professional Consulting Services, Systems Integration and Technology provision predominantly in the Oil & Gas and Utilities Industries.
John Finney

Mr. Finney leads O3b’s global sales and marketing efforts. Prior to joining O3b Networks, Mr. Finney served as Regional Managing Director for Ciena Corp, where he was responsible for Northern Europe, Russia and the Middle East.
Before this, Mr. Finney held a number of International Vice President positions from 2004 to 2007 with Alcatel-Lucent, including responsibility for the Vodafone business unit. He later served as Vice President of International Accounts for the Northern Europe region. From 1999 to 2004, Mr. Finney served as a founding member of Huawei Technologies’ European team. During this time, he secured major contracts across Europe, the Middle East and Africa as the company’s Vice President of Mobile Solutions for the EMEA region.
Early in his career, Mr. Finney worked for the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office and T-Mobile UK.
Dr. Hatem Nasr

Dr. Hatem Nasr is currently the Senior Advisor to Kuwait Oil Company R&T on all Digital Oilfield projects and technology strategy . He has been involved in the past two years in the supervision and implementation of the KwIDF projects. Dr. Nasr has worked closely with the various KwIDF contractors on the systems and workflows design. Dr. Nasr also consults with various oil companies and service companies on technology and business strategy. Dr. Nasr has been involved in more than ten Smart Digital Oilfield projects with various major and national oil companies around the world. Prior to this Dr. Nasr was a co-founder of vMonitor - a company developing advanced technology for Digital Oilfield applications. Dr. Nasr has published several articles on the subject and holds 6 patents. Dr. Nasr was also a Technology Director at Baker Hughes . He did his undergraduate studies at the University of Houston and completed his PhD studies at the University of Minnesota in engineering.
Baqer Bahbahani

Baqer Bahbahani has a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering 1993 from Colorado School of Mines. He Joined Schlumberger Information Solutions area of data management in 1994 - 2003. In 2003 Baqer joined KGOC/Chevron Joint Operations where he serves as a Team Leader Exploration and Production Information Management. Baqer is recognized to be a champion of intelligent filed in KGOC.
Dr. Sufyan Shihab

Sufyan Holds a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, with a track record research and publications on non-destructive testing, data analysis, and smart decision making. He is a petroleum Engineer -by training and practice-, working for Shell Global Solutions with various expertise in well and reservoir management, production management, well completion design, as well as various well intervention activities. Sufyan has a huge interest in “Smart Fields” and new technology trialing and implementation. He worked as Smart Fields and new technology coordinator in Shell and Petroleum Development Oman between 2007 and 2011, and was in the center of the design and implementation of collaborative work environments, electronic well-books, real-time monitoring and exception-based-surveillance of oil-fields, reservoirs and facilities, as well as various other technologies. Currently, he works as a production technologist in the Majnoon oil field (Iraq) development team, looking after well drilling and production operations.

Jawad is responsible of projects initiation, development, execution and coordination for oil and gas projects including the installation of hundreds of digital oil field systems, pipelines, flow lines, electrical, civil and rotating equipment for small and large projects within Saudi Aramco.
He graduated in 1989, BSEE Electrical Engineering, from University of Pittsburgh, PA, USA after receiving, in 1980, an Instrumentation and Control Diploma from Egypt Eswais Technical Collage.
Jawad is a member of IEEE since 1988 and one of the founders of IEEE section of Saudi Arabia (IEEE Treasurer for 1994-1995) Jawad is also a consultant for Saudi Counsel of Engineers (SCE), Member in Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards Committee (SAESC) and active member in Toastmaster Club
Dr. Ali Ahmed Jama

Dr. Ali Ahmed Jama is the Production Solutions Manager with Schlumberger covering wide area of expertise including Production Engineering, Integrated Asset Management, Reservoir Surveillance, Workflows Solution Design, Digital Oilfield Framework Design and Project Management skills proven by relevant field experience and academic qualifications. Dr. Jama has led numerous solution design, implementation and consultancy projects across the Middle-East and Asia as well as in some parts of Africa and Europe. These projects encompassed Production Engineering and Reservoir Surveillance with many of these been driven by Digital Oilfield initiatives, requiring thorough solution design while deploying analysis and diagnostic tools needed to deliver total asset awareness and performance evaluation. Based in Dubai and covering the Middle-East region, Dr. Jama is currently responsible for evaluating requirements and designing Digital Oilfield Solutions for production/reservoir management workflows. Prior to joining Schlumberger, Dr. Jama was based in the UK and has worked for a number of Petroleum Engineering Consultancy companies providing consultancy, research and advisory services to many oil and gas companies in Europe and across the world. Dr. Jama holds a PhD degree in Petroleum Engineering from Cranfield University in the UK and Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Leeds in the UK.
